Turkish president condemns recent terrorist attack in Turkey

Stop Terrorism

The Turkish president condemned on Thursday the recent terrorist attack in a southeastern province.

Turkey's President Abdullah Gül said that every one had to condemn terrorism strongly.

"Mine is the most treacherous method of terrorism, and it is a type of arm banned by international community," Gül told reporters in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek.

Gül's remarks came after six soldiers died and eight others were wounded in a mine blast in Cukurca town of the southeastern province of Hakkari earlier on Thursday.

"Turkey is in a large-scale fight against terrorism," he said.

Gül also said that this terrorist attack, staged in days when every one had the good will to solve problems, is the biggest obstacle before raising Turkey's standards, and therefore every one had to condemn terrorism strongly.
